Dr. Augustine Agho became ODU’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in June 2016. The Provost is the chief academic officer at ODU, with responsibility for all of our undergraduate and graduate education programs, our faculty, and our accreditations. Prior to becoming Provost at ODU, Dr. Agho served as Dean of School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis for almost eight years.
He served as Founding Dean of the School of Health Professions and Studies at the University of Michigan-Flint, and as a faculty member and program director in Health Sciences at Florida A&M, and the University of Illinois-Springfield.
Provost Agho received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. Provost Agho serves as a member of the American Council on Education Commission on Internationalization and Global Engagement and a Board Member of the Virginia-North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation.
